Dr. Richard S. Broadbent has been in orthodontic practice since 2001. He grew up in Pleasant View, Utah and attended Weber High School. He attended Snow College for 1 year while playing baseball and was selected to the All-conference team. After serving a 2 year mission to Japan he attended Weber State University in the pre-dental program. He continued his education at the University of Louisville Dental School where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into OKU and several other distinguished dental fraternities. Dr. Broadbent continued his post-graduate education at the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Orthodontic program and graduated with a Masters of Science in Orthodontics.
Dr. Broadbent is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Rocky Mountain Association of Orthodontists, Utah Association of Orthodontists, the Weber District Dental Society, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and also volunteers as a board member for the Weber School District Foundation.
Dr. Broadbent and his wife Amy have five daughters, Haley, Abigail, Emily, Jessica, and Olivia. He hopes to have his daughters marry young men who smile with confidence and a healthy smile! In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, golf, basketball, boating, and traveling. |

| Steven H. Broadbent, DMD |

Dr. Steven H. Broadbent has been in orthodontic practice since 1975. He was born in Salt Lake City and grew up in Clearfield, Utah and graduated from Davis High School. He attended Weber State University, served a 2 year mission to England, and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Utah. Dental education was received at the University of Louisville Dental School where he graduated with outstanding honors including induction into the OKU, Phi Kappa Phi, and International College of Dentistry fraternities. His postgraduate education continued at the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Orthodontic Program where he graduated with his orthodontic degree. He then served as an orthodontist in the U.S. Army stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Upon completion, he received an army commendation for meritorious service as an orthodontist in the dental corp. He returned home and established his orthodontic practice in North Ogden and Clearfield, Utah and has enjoyed his years of providing excellent professional care.
Dr. Broadbent has been involved in dental education for many years, which includes past-president of the Utah Association of Orthodontists and as a committee member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Orthodontists. He has served on numerous educational boards and has been an active member of his church and community.
Dr. Broadbent and his wife Julie have five children, Dr. Richard Broadbent orthodontist, Sara Vigil elementary education teacher, Dr. Michael Broadbent practicing oral surgeon, David Broadbent masters in accountancy, and Jeff Broadbent 3rd year dental student. They also enjoy 17 grandchildren, 12 of which are girls. Life has been good and we are grateful for the kind support and trust of patients and their families. |
